Growing Up…

I grew up in a small town in northern Ontario. Everyone knew everybody, life was pretty simple. We didn’t have traffic lights or a McDonald’s, we had mom and pop shops who knew you based on your parents. When you did something wrong you couldn’t hide it, because your Dad and your Boss had coffee every morning with the cop who drove your drunk ass home the night before. Winters were spent at the hockey area, summers were spent at the cottage. We’d got to Toronto twice a year so Mom could shop for us and that was the extent of travel. Little did I know that the world didn’t revolve around the CN Tower, and all the opportunities to see the massive amazing world that lay ahead in my future…
